Matthew Brenher is a British classical actor, having performed in many Shakespearian productions, including: Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure, Macbeth, Othello, Titus Andronicus, Hamlet, and Henry V. He played Trigorin in The Seagull, Lopakhin in The Cherry Orchard, and Solyony in The Three Sisters. Other theatre includes: Shaw's The Millionairess, Heathcliffe in Wuthering Heights, and Dracula.
He was awarded Best Performance Lead actor/drama - Stage Scene Los Angeles, 2009, as George in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Hermosa Beach Playhouse).
On TV, he played ‘Mad’ Marcus for 6 months in the British soap - Brookside, and was voted by the London Evening Standard newspaper - Best Villain on British TV 1998.
